Surge protectors to protect dataline networks

Interconnecting buidlings with data and communication lines exposes all sites to a single surge event. It is crucial to reinforce the level of reliability for these systems. The user can achieve this by using a cascaded surge protection strategy for these sensitive networks. CITEL Surge protector for LAN can be adapted to the different configurations. They are equipped with the network connection (RJ45) and available either in an individual box for the protection of an isolated terminal, or in a 19’’ Rack version for multi-line protection at hub or server level.

Surge protectors for radiocommunications

Radiocommunication systems which are connected to an antenna are especially exposed to lightning strikes. The maximum risk is a direct strike on the antenna pole. Equipment such as GSM/UMTS or TETRA base stations must be protected from this risk in order to ensure service continuity. CITEL offers three specific surge protection technologies for Radio Frequency (RF) communication lines that are individually suited for the different operational requirements of each system (Filter, GDT and quarter wave).
